VSAM KSDS Performance and Tuning
Overview:
- This new three-day course is designed for experienced programmers who are already using IDCAMS to create VSAM KDSD datasets and who are already coding COBOL or Assembler programs that access VSAM KDSD files.
- It covers VSAM KSDS architecture, coding of IDCAMS utility commands with performance in mind, maintenance of VSAM KSDS files, and techniques for improving COBOL or Assembler program access and updating of VSAM KSDS files.

Course in Development - RDz for COBOL Developers
Overview:
- This four-day course teaches developers how to use RDz (Rational Developer for System z) to develop, test and debug mainframe COBOL programs on a local processor (Windows), and then on a z/OS IBM z mainframe.
- This course focuses on testing and debugging COBOL programs first on a local processor, which saves mainframe resources, then editing, testing and debugging on a mainframe using the RDz GUI interface and powerful tools. Included are Debug Tool and Fault Analyzer, as seen through RDz.
